Prof. Dr. Ghislain Houben started his wine story in the hamlet of Hoenshoven in Borgloon. Wine growing is Ghislain's passion. In 2002 he planted his first vines on land that has been in the family since 1907. His son Jeroen, who grew up between the wine barrels, has also been bitten by the wine bug.

Together they cultivate 6.5 hectares of vineyards, with no less than 30 different grape varieties. Ghislain has an exceptional knowledge of the vinification process. As his title suggests, studying and creating is his passion. This results in a diverse range of wines that are produced annually. These are both 'classic' white and red wines, as well as unique creations.
