Fruit experience centre Stroopfabriek

Discover the story of Loonse stroop

It is one of the last remnants of the industrial processing of fruit into ‘stroop’. It was founded in 1879 by the Wynants family, who industrialised the process of stroop distillation. The success story continued until 1988, after which the factory and its surroundings fell silent for a while. The building was listed as a protected monument in 1999. The pioneering work and know-how associated with the industrial plant were given a second life. After a thorough restoration in 2019, the Stroopfabriek opened its doors as a fruit experience centre.
