Fruit experience centre Syrup Factory

Discover the story of the Loon syrup

One of the last remnants of the industrial processing of fruit into syrup. Founded in 1879 by the Wynants family, who industrialized the process of syrup distillation. The success story lasted until 1988. Then it was quiet for a while at and around the factory. In 1999, the building was classified as a protected monument. The years of pioneering work and the know-how surrounding the industrial installation were given a second life. After a thorough restoration in 2019, the Syrup Factory opened its doors as a fruit experience center.
