Welcome to De Ruttermolen, a charming B&B located in rural Rutten, along the quiet banks of the Jeker, near the oldest city in Belgium, Tongeren. This centuries-old watermill, first mentioned in 1360, offers a unique combination of history, comfort and nature. Our B&B has four spacious rooms on the first floor, each with its own bathroom, so you can enjoy your stay in complete privacy. The rooms are tastefully decorated with an eye for detail, so you will feel right at home.
In the extensive garden, which stretches along the banks of the Jeker, you can experience nature in all its tranquility. The limitless landscape offers a perfect view and the ideal place to relax. In the summer months you can enjoy a lounger on the edge of our heated swimming pool. On colder days you can use our sauna and jacuzzi, which guarantee extra relaxation.
De Ruttermolen is also home to a small-scale alpaca farm, where you can get to know these woolly animals. The farm was born out of a passion for alpacas and reflects our philosophy of sustainability and connection with nature. Our alpacas are cared for with great care and attention, and their presence contributes to the peaceful atmosphere of De Ruttermolen.
Every morning a freshly prepared breakfast is ready for you, where we are proud of our own products that we make with care. We supplement it with regional products, so that you can enjoy the local flavors. In the evening you can join us for a dinner, prepared by Serge. With love for the profession and use of fresh, local ingredients, he provides culinary highlights that you will not soon forget. And with a glass of wine, no one has to worry about transport, because you can end the evening in peace.
