Educational tool for children aged 9 to 12
The brochure 'Time Travel in Tongeren' takes you to the rich past of the city.
The journey through time starts under the umbrella in the courtyard of the Julianus complex, near the tourist office. From here, the children are guided through the city in a challenging and playful way. Via 9 stops, they can discover the city's diverse past. It is a route of approximately 2.5 kilometers and takes at least an hour and a half.
The educational tool is primarily a walking tour that children in the 4th, 5th, and 6th grades can take as a class. During school holidays, the journey through time can also be perfectly undertaken by individual families with children, and youth associations can also make use of this walking brochure on weekends.
Practical
Time travel is possible with a class as well as with the family.
