B&B Villa Kakelbont is peacefully situated in the heart of Borgloon, in the heart of the beautiful Haspengouw region. Come and enjoy the rolling hills, culture, and culinary delights.
One of the B&B's greatest assets is the original and surprising breakfast. Hostess Sophia makes almost everything homemade: fresh sourdough bread, delicious jams, a refreshing fruit salad, and fruit juice. A perfect, healthy, and tasty way to start your day.
At Villa Kakelbont, the garden of the green future is a wonderful place to unwind. This natural garden was designed with great attention to biodiversity and flowers. Villa Kakelbont has been generating its electricity with solar panels for over 12 years and is currently participating in a sustainability project in collaboration with PXL University of Applied Sciences.
The rooms are original, offering comfort and a peaceful atmosphere. Room Pippi is located on the ground floor, the only room with a TV, and has a bathroom with a walk-in shower. On the first floor, you'll find Room Nilsson, which, since 2024, has a luxurious bathroom with both a spacious rain shower and a bathtub. Room Witje, also on the first floor, has a bathroom with a shower, located on the second floor.
Villa Kakelbont's location is ideal for both short and longer stays. Hiking trails begin just down the street. The famous see-through church is a 15-minute walk away. The B&B is located between junctions 151 and 154 of the cycling network. Four electric bicycles and a cargo bike are available for rent, allowing you to explore the "Helshaeven" artwork and the Haspengouw region.
For those planning to stay longer, the Tongeren-Borgloon Citypass offers an excellent way to explore the culture of Haspengouw. This pass, valid for 7 days, provides access to attractions such as the Stroopbelevingscentrum (Stroop Experience Centre), the Graaf (De Graaf) in Borgloon, and the Gallo-Roman Museum in Tongeren.
Leave your car and walk to one of the 14 restaurants.
